Kuznetsov is a winning young daughter of Maryland’s current leading stallion Great Notion, from the family of stakes winners Oldies But Goodies, Strike the Moon, Walk the Stars and Street Magician.
She was a $20,000 yearling auction purchase (the second-highest price for a Great Notion in 2015) by trainer John Robb, and she went on to break her maiden in wire-to-wire fashion sprinting over the Laurel turf course as a 4-year-old, before retiring with a record of (11) 1-2-1, $39,730.
Kuznetsov is a half-sister to stakes-placed winner Change of Seasons, and to 2019 stakes winner Oldies But Goodies, among a total of 6 winners out of her dam.
Kuznetsov’s second dam is Special Kell, a stakes winner of $100,000 whose daughters Star Kell and Magical Meadow are responsible for three stakes between them, including Grade 3 winner Street Magician, now one of Maryland’s leading sires. You can check out her pedigree here.
Kuznetsov’s first foal is a lovely bay filly by Weigelia born in February ’20 — you can read why we picked him here. She is currently in foal to Jimmy Creed in another Housatonic Recommended Mating, and booked back to Include for 2021.
