Hit It A Bomb

Akasha
Akasha

Blastfromthepast was born February 14, 2018, at GreenMount Farm, and is a Maryland-bred colt from the first crop of unbeaten Grade 1-winning 2-year-old Hit It a Bomb.  He is out of Akasha, a three-time winning mare whose second dam is a full-sister to the multiple Grade 1 winner and leading sire, Seeking the Gold.

You can read why we planned the mating that produced this colt here, and check out more photos of Blastfromthepast here.

His name comes from the link between “blast” and “bomb”, plus the fact that “akasha” is a Hindu term for one of the five elements that is the basis or essence of all things in the world, since the beginning — hence, Blastfromthepast.

’18 Akasha’s sire, Hit It a Bomb, wins the G1 Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf
